Douglas has scored a variety of short films, dance performances, concert music for many different instrumentation, and the feature film Domino. Fonseca has conducted scoring session at the Fox Newman Scoring Stage with some of the top studio musicians in Los Angeles. His compositions have been performed and recorded by various orchestras including the Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra (Los Angeles), the Brazilian Wind Orchestra, the Los Angeles Studio Orchestra, the University of Miami orchestra, and the big band Comboio where he played guitar for many years. Douglas is a unique jazz guitarist who brings to the guitar the conception and creativity of an arranger. He is an active performer with experience in Big Band, small jazz ensemble, trio, solo guitar, Brazilian music. Along with his writing and performing projects, Douglas is currently a full time music instructor at Autry Music Institute in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He has also given seminars about Brazilian music and guitar at University of Miami.
